Each painting or picture I create is the manifestation of an idea I have. I don’t paint a specific place or person. I am using the scene or the likeness of a person to express a feeling I have about life; to reflect the life I see in that scene or that person. My abstract pictures are also my efforts to express ideas about subjects I am curious about. All of my work is structured with common
formal technique learned from the splendid teachers I have had over the course of 20 years of painting. My hope is that the images are attractive and engaging. I want people who buy my art to find pleasure in it for a long time. I am hopeful that I am creating moments of engagement that give us energy and perhaps even passion for the individual lives we lead.
